Celebrating the life of

Tyler Christopher Moore

February 13, 1987 - November 26, 2012

Tyler Christopher Moore

Tyler Christopher Moore
Tyler Christopher Moore, 25, passed away at his home after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward Moore, his grandmother, Ann Pearce Moye, Uncle David Moore, and Aunt DiiAnn Moore.
Tyler was born in Savannah, GA February 13, 1987. He was a joy and light in our lives from the moment he was born. He loved the outdoors. Tyler grew up on Isle of Hope and was out in the marsh every chance he got. Growing up, his house was the place where all his friends came to have fun. After high school, Tyler being the adventurous spirit took off for Leadville, CO for his freshman year of college where he snowboarded, hiked and fished daily. He came back to Georgia with the intent of hiking the Appalachian Trail. Soon after returning to Georgia, his illness became too much, and he moved back home. We will always remember Tyler for his sweet spirit, kind soul, and caring heart. He was stronger and more courageous than any of us can ever hope to be.
We know where he is, we know he is at peace, and we know he is free of pain. We will miss him always.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Stanley and Melodie Moore, his grandfather, Wallace Moye, his grandmother, Bessie Paul Moore, his aunts and uncles, Melissa and Marvin Metzger, W.D. Moye, Susan Metzger, Andy and Laura Moore, Michael and Victoria Moore, Wendy Moore, and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to the Tyler C. Moore Memorial Fund, c/o Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, 412 Parkersburg Road, Savannah, GA 31406.

Melodie ~ I had just recently found out about Tyler's condition and everything your family was going through. From the moment I met you there was one thing that was for certain, your love for Tyler. You are an amazing mom. You could see that in Tyler even as a young boy in Elementary school that he was loved and was being taught by a strong woman. May that strength and the knowledge of his love help you to continue on without him here. I am truly sorry for your loss. Thoughts and Prayers. Love ~amy

- Amy Morrison Hayden, Roanoke, VA

Derek and I knew Tyler during his time in Leadville. I don't know if I could find a more polite, respectful, sweet souled, kindhearted and loving young man. My heart is breaking that we didn't know about his condition and weren't able to let him know that we still think of him and laugh over some of the times spent there. He touched our lives and our hearts in the short time that we knew him. Thank you for sharing him with us for a little while.

Melodie, after reading all the beautiful sentiments written by friends, I can only add the following poem that was a favorite of my mother's. 'My life is but a weaving between my God and me, I do not choose the colors, He worketh steadily. Oft times He weaveth sorrow and I in foolish pride, forget He sees the upper and I the underside. Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly, will God unveil the canvas and explain the reason why the dark threads are as needful in the skillful Weaver's hands, as the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.' You are my dear friend and I keep you in my heart and prayers. Ava

- Ava Buck, Rincon, GA

Melodie - We are so sadden by your loss!!God looked around His garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, Peace be thine. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
